Holodiscus Technical knows that you care how information about you is used and shared. Therefore I make a strong commitment to protect and respect the privacy principles regarding the personal information that you provide. The purpose of this Privacy Statement is to explain the types of information Holodiscus Technical  obtains about visitors to this website, how the information is collected, how it is used, and how visitors can restrict its use or disclosure. I appreciate your trust.

This Privacy Statement was last revised on Dec 24, 2008. It is in my own power to change this Privacy Statement at any time and for any reason. By using this website(s), you agree to the terms of this Privacy Statement. This Privacy Statement is in accordance with the law on Privacy.

Personal information is any information concerning an identified or identifiable natural person. This includes information that tells this website and myself specifically who a person is, such as a person's name, telephone number, e-mail address, home address or payment and financial information. The method that this information is communicated, for instance by word, text, sound or image, is of no importance. What is important is the communicated information itself.

Lunarpages may collect also other information that does not in and of itself identify a specific person. This information includes IP addresses, search terms, domain names and browser types. Lunarpages uses this kind of information to track usage and other patterns to this website(s).

I and Lunarpages collect personal information throughout two main information streams:

The first information input is provided by any visitor who gives us his personal information on a free basis. We keep a record of your name and e-mail address in order to keep track of the username and password we assigned to you. Subscription to our mailing lists supposes the transfer of a visitor's e-mail address.  A visitor who orders one of our products and/or services must provide us with personal information for different purposes.  

Secondly, my server provider for the website (Lunarpages) uses cookies' information input. Lunarpages receives and stores certain types of information whenever you visit my website. Like many websites it uses "cookies", and it obtains certain types of information when your web browser accesses my website. I do not apply any specific cookies to the system, and have not placed any in my webpages, so any cookies that you run into while visiting are from my provider (Lunarpages). Chances are that most are for the SSL socket security systems (provided by contract to Lunarpages) to ID visitors wanting to purchase books from this website.

Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that are transfered to your computers' hard drive through your web browser to enable a system to recognize your browser and to provide extra features, such as security.

How do I use your personal information?

If you submit personal information, you agree that we may keep a record of this personal information. These records are strictly for internal use by Holodiscus Technical. In the first place, the personal information that is collected throughout are for shop and/or ordering facilities, and is used to fulfill sales contract obligations. Secondly, if you pay for services by credit or bankcard, we will share your name with these bankcard companies, only for the purpose that I can be paid properly.

I won't sell your name, address, email or other information under any circumstances for profit purposes or to "charities". (I've gotten on TOOO many lists for things I'd never purchase that way, myself.) I can't speak for Lunarpages' cookies and their collection of data with cookies, but I won't sell information to them and won't share it with them unless it is for a criminal or spyware investigation or something of similar nature, i.e, someone did something immoral or illegal.

I do not sell, trade, rent or disclose individually-identifiable information obtained about our clients and website visitors to anyone outside of Holodiscus Technical, unless it is required by law, regulation, court order or other legal process. I do not disclose your personal information unless it is necessary to protect the safety of customers, employees or property.

How secure is your personal information in my hands? I use Secure Sockets Layer software (SSL), which encrypts information you input while online transmitting information, such as that used in ordering.
